newly diagnosed?...

This space is all about HOPE, HEALING and HAPPINESS

An MS diagnosis is a life-altering moment. I remember after mine, I felt pretty overwhelmed by the shock of how quickly my life had changed. Only weeks prior, I was running around a music festival with my friends and working full-time, but now here I was, a shell of my former seIf, confined to our apartment with a mountain of disability and nowhere to turn. The conventional outlook from mainstream medicine was far from reassuring, with no doctor giving me a clear path to heal my body; it was really all on me, and I can assure you there was fire in my belly! So I began researching and looking for answers to all the questions that had been swirling around my mind for weeks on end while I was stuck in that hospital bed, i.e. what is MS? ...what could happen to me? ...but my most burning question of all ...is there ANYTHING I can do about it?

And to my amazement, I discovered life-changing information that filled me with so much hope and completely transformed my outlook on my future. My mind expanded with this beautiful information, and I could suddenly see myself living a relatively normal life again with much commitment, determination and a burning desire to prove dr's wrong. I began to see the changes in my body over months to years, slowly but surely I began to heal. I'm not perfect but I'm far from where I was when I left hospital. So I wanted to have it all in one place for others going through the same thing, knowing how tough those initial months can be and how long it can take to find answers.

I put all of the critical information and insights I discovered and experienced back then in this post - My Advice To Someone Newly Diagnosed with MS, which includes the key films I watched, diet & lifestyle information I discovered, including the Overcoming MS Program, and books I read and mindset shifts I made during those initial months that changed everything for me.

I hope it helps x

MY ADVICE TO SOMEONE NEWLY DIAGNOSED

About

A little about me...

I live on the East Coast beaches of New Zealand with my little family. I have a degree in Textile Design, but these days what excites me is the brain and healing on all levels—not just physical, but emotional too. I follow the Overcoming MS program, eating a plant-based, whole-foods diet with seafood that is rich in omega-3s, and avoids processed foods as much as possible; plus meditation, exercise, vitamin D3,
and an ongoing commitment to stress management. I love summer camping, my friends and family, nature walks,
and a good laugh.

Much Love
